TWILIGHT MANIA has swept the nation! The movie took in $70.6 MILLION and is on the way of becoming the highest-grossing vampire movie and the highest frossing movie by a female director.
And as we said a week ago - since it did SOO well - another Twilight is on the way.
The 2nd book - "NEW MOON" was given the green light!
As for THIS weekend - here's what made the most:
1) "Twilight"- $70.6 million
2) "Quantum of Solace"- $27.4 million
3) "Bolt"- "27 million"
4) " Madagascar : Escape 2 Africa "- $16 million
5) "Role Models"- $7.2 million

It looks like Twilight is going to near a $70 million opening weekend!
I think it is safe to say that though it's the first, this is not the last Twilight movie they will make.

HBO has just closed a SEVEN-FIGURE deal on a documentary about our new President Elect Barack Obama!
Director Edward Norton has been documenting all the insanity since right before Obama launched his presidential campaign in 2007, captured his massive win this past week and will continue to see where he goes.
Though the documentary is not finished up, they are planning to air this, now untitled, documentary sometime next year.

Page Six says that the two were "very affectionate" but her rep thinks that it's "NO ONE'S BUSINESS" who she has dinner with.
